I had been reading online about beaches that were completely free, however don't trust everything you read online. The waters were very pleasant and the outside temp of around 80 was near perfect. There was a pretty large crowd gathered that day, but not too crowded. In my almost 50 years of life I have visited the North and South Atlantic, from Maine to Florida, the Gulf Coast Waters from Florida to Texas and the Pacific in LA, San Francisco, San Diego, Tijuana and Acapulco but this was a first to actually see someone surfing in person so that was cool. We went wading a short distance out but a small group was swimming and two young gentlemen were surfing. Will Rogers Beach is very clean and it was the time of year that the sand was not hot and the water was pretty chilly but not frigid however. While on business in California my daughter we who lives there spent some time in LA so a beach stop was definitely on our agenda.
